Gers Himalaya receives the Mayor of Patan, Nepal

This weekend, November 13 and 14, the Himalayan meetings will take place in Lamothe Goas, cradle of the Gers association a few kilometers from Fleurance.

A diverse program has been developed by the association’s volunteers.

Saturday, November 13 from 2 pm, exhibition of sculptures by Annie Bozza and watercolors by Florence Mignot. At 3 pm a film will present some aspects of Nepal followed by a round table on Nepalese news and the actions of Gers Himalaya.

At 6:30 pm, inauguration of the Himalayan days followed by a buffet with Nepalese flavors.

It will be a solemn moment. Patricia Proust will welcome the mayor of Patan, an important city populated by 220,000 inhabitants, near Kathmandu. He will be accompanied by another Nepalese, Binod Khakurel, President of France Nepal, in residence in France. Both will be made honorary citizens of Lamothe Goas by Alain Scudellaro, mayor of the commune of Lamognole.

Patan is located near Kathmandu, the Bagmati River separates the two cities. Patan is known for its Dubar Square district with many Hindu temples.

Sunday, November 14, from 2 p.m., exhibition of sculptures and watercolors. At 3 pm a film will present some aspects of Nepal followed by a round table on Nepalese news and the actions of Gers Himalaya. At 5 pm closing of the animations and tasting of a Nepalese tea.

These two days, whose admission is free, will allow to join the Nepalese children’s aid association, to subscribe to a sponsorship to accompany Nepalese children, but also to exchange and spend a friendly moment.

To respect the current constraints, the health pass will be mandatory.
