Nepalese tourism has bright future: French Envoy Carmona

Recentfusion.com–Pokhara: French ambassador to Nepal Mr. Yves Carmona said that the future of Nepalese tourism industry is very bright. Saying that the world tourism industry is turning very competitive but according to Mr. Carmona, Nepal has a good privilege that the country has very beautiful snow-capped mountains.

Nobody can imitate such mountains in any country, Mr. Carmona said in an interaction organized by Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Friday. He also informed that most of the French people hesitate to visit Nepal since European Union has blacklisted Nepal as a bad air service country.

He also guessed that if Nepal would extend her air service to several foreign countries from government sector, the European Union may lift such ban in air service. According to him supervision and regulation are most for Nepal’s air service improvement.

PCCI Chairman Bindu Kumar Thapa welcomed Mr. Carmona in that interaction and said that Nepal was ready to welcome investment from French investors. He also

informed that the Pokhara and its surroundings is safe even after the last year’s April 12 earthquake; so, he asked Mr. Ambassador to inform such reality to his people.

PCCI executive member Bishow Shankar Palikhe, Western Regional Hotel Association Pokhara Chairman Bharat Raj Parajuli, TAAN Western Regional Association Pokhara vice chairman Deepak Raj Adhikari and PCCI vice chairman Dev Chhetri also expressed their remarks during the interaction.
